Globe Walk Participant Resources
At SCOA, we firmly believe that staying active and connected is vital for a fulfilling life, regardless of your age. Whether you're a seasoned Globe Walker or new to the program, these resources are here to provide you with the tools and Information you need to get the most out of your participation.
Many Globe Walkers use devices like smart watches, pedometers, cellphone apps, or similar gadgets to track their miles/distance. All forms of physical activity count as eligible miles: walking, dancing, fitness classes, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, dog walking, vacuuming, badminton, bowling, pickleball, the golf dome and chasing after grandkids were some of the activities counted last year.
If you would like to use a pedometer to track your steps, you can either come down to the SCOA office or to the Community Health Center at Market Mall and pick one up for $20. Note: the Community Health Centre only takes cash.
Let's work together to make this Globe Walk season your most rewarding yet!
