Dance Presentation by Kîyânaw Collective - for 55 Plus only

Join us for a live presentation featuring Indigenous youth dancers and their families as they prepare to head out on the pow wow trail together this summer. The Kîyânaw Collective will share pow wow dance styles and regalia, while MC Curtis Peeteetuce provides teachings on the meaning and significance of each dance.
The presentation runs approximately 40 minutes, followed by time for questions, photos, and an opportunity to meet the dancers.
Detailed Itinerary:
10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
• Arrive at Wanuskewin; older adults get seated in the Amphitheatre.
11:00 AM to (approx.) 11:45 AM
Amphitheatre
• Dance and learning event; 6 to 10 dancers; Curtis Peeteetuce will MC and explain some of the traditions behind the dances.
11:45 AM to 12:30 PM
Refreshments:
• Cinnamon fry Bannock/Muskeg Peach Tea
• Visiting, eating, asking questions, and taking photos
12:45 PM
• SCOA older adults will explore the museum on their own
