Meaghan Risling - Program CoordinatorMy name is Meaghan Risling and I am the new Program Coordinator at SCOA. I was born in Saskatoon and I have lived here my entire life. I graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts and major in Anthropology, and I worked at the University for a year and a half before joining SCOA. As the new Program Coordinator at the Saskatoon Council on Aging I am involved in many different facets of the organization. As my title suggests, I work with Council’s Board of Directors, committees, and volunteers to plan programs for older adults. I organize our lifelong learning courses, including computer, art, and yoga classes, and I plan and research new programs for SCOA to offer. I work alongside the Century Club Committee to organize events, distribute newsletters, and create memory books. I also work with the Caregiver Committee to plan Caregiver Forums, create resources for caregivers, and provide information and support to caregivers who call my direct phone line, email me, or stop by my office. I provide support to our Drop In Program, Blood Pressure Clinic, and help with our volunteer coordination. |
